Sega Master System Composite + Switchless 50/60Hz mod
The Sega Master System II was released in Australia during the late 80's. At the time Sega made the decision to remove composite video with the revision from the model 1. With analog RF being the only way to connect this console to a TV, it's impossible to get the console to work with modern TVs. This board is part of a kit which patches into the video encoder chip directly and outputs the composite video signal via RCA. Another problem the Australian PAL version has is that it runs at 50Hz which causes the screen to be smaller and the games to run slower. This board uses a PIC to patch into the chip which controls 50/60Hz playback. Using the Pause button the user can switch between 50/60Hz on the fly.
